The voice over is really creepy, but once again I like the clean copy used to describe the app, and the simplicity of just showing the different screens without showing any hands or anything like that. I do think including video footage of something lifestyle related would be nice.
App Video Inspiration
I like how this app video uses a voice over, and creates a storyline for the apps usage and the problem it solves. The illustration style is beautiful, the color palette and branding is really cohesive, and the sound effects and music all fit with the “health” aspect of the app.
Although this is more complicated than what we have time to do for our apps, and the app is illustrated as opposed to shown with the actual prototyped screens, it is really cool to see what is out there.
App Video Inspiration
This video I feel like is very do-able. The video uses large typography and copy to explain different aspects of the app, and fun music to provide a interesting tone that makes the viewer excited about what they are watching. The one thing I don’t like is the weird use of the finger… it looks so fake and photoshopped!
Future App Poster Design Inspiration
For this app presentation I really like how the designer pulled out the “most popular” food items and included them outside of the screen. It shows how a variety of photos/foods would look like in the app and helps the design flow past just the confines of the phone screen.
I also like the subtle shape behind the phone screen and mockup, it makes the mockup seem grounded and draws the eye to the mockup first.

App Inspiration
This app uses white space and color in a really harmonious way that looks balanced, and carries out the branding without overpowering the user. I think the use of a color gradient background of the poster design was smart because of the heavy amount of white usage throughout the design.

App Design Menu
The middle screen on this example shows a good example of what a hamburger menu looks like once open and pulled out. I like that there is a search bar, and then all the categories are organized in a linear fashion with icons. One aspect I don’t like is that the pull out menu is broken in the middle, it is confusing and I think sort of unrealistic in my opinion… I’m not really sure how the user would interact with the split menu or what the point of it is.

App Inspiration: Purchasing/Cart
I am currently trying to decide whether or not to add a purchasing screen for my app animation video, to show the user they can buy the workshops through the app. These are some apps that use a check out feature that allows users to add their credit card numbers and see the final cost of their purchases. The design of these screens work because they have good hierarchy of type but there aren’t a lot of distractions or buttons so that the user can continue with the purchase in a seamless, non-distracting manner.

App Inspiration
I like the middle screen of the Skimm App that allows the user to see calendar events. I would like to include this feature in my app and allow users to add upcoming workshops to their calendar.
I also like the simplicity of the three bubbles in the top right corner, although I’m not sure that’s as user friendly as the well-known “hamburger” bars that lead to a menu.

App Inspiration: Bubbles
These are a few app screens that show the bubble user experience effect I am trying to execute for my own app design. It seems like how the bubbles are animated play a big part in the design. I like the screens that have the bubbles range in size, I think it adds some dimension to the design. I also think using flat colors as opposed to photography overlays in the bubbles looks cleaner.

App Inspiration: Registration
This is a good example of an app that uses a registration feature, much like my “Made” app. I like the icons the app uses, although my app doesn’t need to have a distinction between adult/child so I don’t think that will be necessary.
